Drain Bamage
Drain Bamage sees you controlling the hand of Mushmallow Man in an ever more-difficult-to-navigate drain as he tries to discover his car keys! The procedurally generated drain pipes get longer each level and you must be careful not to touch the sides as your visibility decreases the longer you are navigating each drain. Can you defeat all ten levels on all three difficulty settings?
Microsoft's 2010 X48 XNA GameCamp was hosted by Pixel-Lab in Birmingham City University from Friday 19th and finished the following day after around 27 hours of game Development. I entered as team leader of "Sigfault" which consists of fellow programmmer David Prior plus Martyn Poole and Jason Thomas as the art and design guys.
With a theme of "Discovery" announced, we set about coming up with and developing ideas; the drain exploration concept was Jason's. Dave worked on programming for the interface, animation and screen management while I developed the core gameplay, procedurally generated levels and collision detect. Jason and Martyn both worked on the art assets together.
In order to play the game, you will need Windows XP (Service Pack 2) or later and a screen resolution of 1024x768 or higher. You will also need to install .NET Framework 3.5 or higher with either XNA Game Studio 3.1 or higher, or XNA Framework Redistributable 3.1 or higher.
